Valley Corporation stands as a third-generation, family-owned General Contracting firm, serving communities throughout Nebraska and Iowa with pride since 1972. We are guided by the belief that every individual we engage with has the potential to contribute value to our organization, whether they are a longstanding client or a recent addition to our team.
1972
Founded in a Passion for Our Industry
In 1972, Del Chapin was preparing to retire from a lifelong career in the construction industry. Del couldn’t imagine a life without construction, so, as a retirement hobby, he started up his own construction company. He named it after the town in which his lakeside vacation home resided — Valley, Nebraska. Del and his wife, Helen, ran the business together, primarily focusing on commercial and industrial building construction.

1980
Working Together, Moving Forward
Del and Helen’s daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Roger Bevington, also had a passion for the construction industry. Roger and his brother ran a similar company, known at the time as BevCo. In the early 1980’s, Roger, Bonnie, Del, and Helen joined forces. BevCo was liquidated, and Valley Corporation as we know it today was born.
1992
Giving New Life to Old Materials
In one of its most monumental steps since the 80s, Valley Corp purchased Midwest Aggregate Recyclers, adding this valuable and sustainable new practice to its established portfolio. This acquisition helped Valley Corporation become a pioneer in the State of Nebraska as one of the leaders in the concrete and asphalt recycling industry.
2007
Cultivating Growth & Excellence
Over the next 20 years, Roger and Bonnie grew the business by focusing on local projects. They were awarded the small business contractor of the year for Offutt Air Force Base in 1986, after completing many high-quality projects on base. During Roger and Bonnie’s ownership, each of their five children worked for the company. Four of them went on to pursue other endeavors, but their son, Matt, purchased Valley Corporation in 2007.

Upholding Integrity Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow
Throughout its three generations of ownership, Valley Corporation has continued to expand the construction services it provides to the greater Omaha area. Valley Corporation is proud of being a turnkey general contractor. Over the past 45+ years, we have upheld the values and ethics passed down through the generations which created a small business, family-owned atmosphere. Valley Corp. is a place where empowered and passionate employees create quality work, customer satisfaction, and a drive to be the best. Together, we have created an environment full of possibilities, waiting to be unearthed.
2020
Expanding to Meet New Technologies
Valley Corporation always has an eye on the future, and knew that underground communications technology was a fantastic next step toward innovation and accessibility for our local communities. In 2020, Valley Corporation acquired the underground assets of Klein Underground & Electric, enabling us to provide Underground and Overhead Communications and Electrical Services to the State of Nebraska.
2023
Investments for Continued Growth
As we relentlessly strive for excellence, we’ve expanded our arsenal of construction machinery. This includes purchasing cutting-edge equipment such as the Wirtgen SP 94i 4-track paving machine, five Fendt tractors, and five Bauer Built SD-36 side dump trailers. This state-of-the-art machinery promises to usher in a new era for our projects, elevating productivity and ensuring outstanding results.
