Hell Creek River Grade Control Stabilization

PROJECT SCOPE

This large bank stabilization project for the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District began in September of 2016 and was completed in April of 2017. Valley Corporation was hired to stabilize the bank and a bridge of a specific portion of Hell Creek near the confluence of Hell Creek, West Papio Creek, and the Papio Creek along an abandoned railroad bed, utilizing grading, sheetpile, and an extensive amount of concrete work in the Hell Creek channel under the existing bridge. This project was part of a larger vision of the PMNRD for the West Papio Trail Extension.

 

MAJOR ITEMS OF WORK

  • Bank stabilization of Hell Creek
  • 4 Separate Sheetpile Walls totaling approx. 7500 SF
  • 3 separate concrete slabs in the flowline of Hell Creek
  • Construction of Grouted Boulder Structure
